GROANNNNNNNNNNNNNN [updated: 31/07/2015 07:25]
It’s too early WAY TOO EARLY. Right down to the interesting stuff. The local illegal rave/party that seems to have been on again last night as the two rather stoned young lads stumbled up the stairs and flopped unceremoniously on the benches and fell asleep. 377414, 377458 broke the rules this morning by turning up with 2A11 BTN-VIC ON TIME!!!! Shortly after 2V94 SRS-LUT headed out with 319438, 319373. A driver was questioning a guard across platforms as to were 5L01 VIC-EGR was arriving. With Open Train Times pages open on my phone, I told him it was coming in on number 1 and it did with 377413, 377163, 377427. Once that had departed 5M05 SRS0CLJ ECS 377704 came in at the same time as 442408 1D14 VIC-GTW. I know you realise that 1U13 GTW-VIC hasn’t been listed yet, but fear not it was a little late and 442404, 442410 raced through platform 4 attempting to make up time. 377122 was the stock on 2F04 VIC-ORE. My 2V98 SRS-BDM 377511, 377513 arrived on time and cruised to St. Pancras.
At Herne Hill I managed to see 1W03 BDM-BTN which was formed of 387123, 387103.
At St. Pancras I decided the ‘Legendary Quest For 395016‘ was worth a go, but alas again I was thwarted! 1J06 STP-RAM was there with 395015 (so close yet so far), 5T94 STP-MDW was 395005, and 1J08 STP-FAV was 395021. Whilst writing these down I turned to see 3217 pulling into platform 10 as 9S25 0629 Temple Mills Recp to St Pancras International.
At ‘The Cross’ 1C42 KGX-CBG 365519 left from platform 9 as usual. The lovely blonde on platform distracted me but I did note 67021 as the Thunderbird.
Then it went wrong! 2F07 MOG-SVG was cancelled!!!! I had to catch 2V09 MOG-WGN 313040, 313050 to work. There was nothing in Ferme Park this morning that was visible although I think I saw a EWS liveried 66 at the back.
Well Summing the day up in one word: meh!
I managed due to various reasons all the freight passing here today, so I can only report 313062 2F07 WGC-MOG going to Finsbury Park. FRom there I caught 317340 2C51 CBG-KGX which was on time for once, despite a last minute platform change!
St. Pancras yielded 387105, 387122 1W43 BDM-BTM to East Croydon. At Blackfriars 1K87 BFR-DVP was in platform 3 formed of 375310, 375711. We slowed at Herne Hill and passing Northbound was 1P46 RAM-VIC 375608, 375704, 375701.
